The Sunday reset that actually sticks (and why most don't)

A 20-minute weekly ritual that keeps your Notion system from becoming another thing you abandoned.

Most Sunday resets fail because they're really Monday prep in disguise. You sit down to plan the week, then spend 40 minutes color-coding a calendar nobody reads. The reset becomes a chore, and by week three it's gone.

Here's what works instead: a reset you can do in 20 minutes with a mug of something warm. Open one page. Answer four questions — what happened last week, what's actually due this week, what's one thing I'm dreading, and what's one thing I'm looking forward to. That's it. No new tags, no reorganization.

The template does the rest. A running log catches the wins you'd otherwise forget. A small 'next actions' list keeps the week honest. And a parking lot for ideas keeps you from starting five new projects on a Sunday night.

The point isn't a perfect system. It's a repeatable one. If your reset takes longer than a sitcom episode, cut something. The version you do every week beats the version that looks impressive once.
