Release note: a spring refresh for the Home Command Center
New zones, a lighter dashboard, and a weekly reset that takes seven minutes — here's what changed and why.
The Home Command Center was my first template, and it's the one I've learned the most from. Over the past year, a few patterns kept showing up in your emails: the dashboard felt a little heavy, the cleaning schedule was too rigid, and the weekly reset page was buried. So I rebuilt those parts.
The dashboard now has four clear zones: Today, This Week, Home, and Notes. Each one is a single column. The idea is that you can glance at it while the kettle boils and know what matters. I removed two databases that most of you weren't using and moved their functions into simpler checklists.
The cleaning schedule is now a 'reset' page instead of a rigid calendar. It lists seven small tasks you can do in any order, and you check them off as you go. If you miss a day, nothing breaks. That felt more honest to how home life actually works.
Finally, the weekly reset is now a seven-minute guided page. It asks three questions: What's coming up? What's lingering? What can wait? You answer, close the page, and you're done. The update is live now — check your email for the fresh duplicate link. Your old version stays intact if you want to compare.
