How to Structure a Weekly Review in Notion (Without Making It a Chore)

A simple, effective weekly review system that takes 15 minutes and helps you feel on top of everything — without turning into a rigid ritual.

When I first started using Notion, I skipped the weekly review because it felt like homework. I’d open a template, stare at it, and close it again. But once I simplified the process to three questions, it became the most grounding part of my week.

Here’s the framework: Look back at what you did. Write down what’s still lingering. Pick three priorities for next week. That’s it. No long lists, no color-coded tags, no ten-step routines. I keep this in a single Notion page with three sections, and I spend about 10 minutes every Sunday morning.

The trick is to make it feel like a conversation with yourself, not a performance review. I use bullet points and emojis (yes, emojis) to keep it friendly. And I always end with a small win from the week — that keeps me coming back.

If you want to try it, you can start with a blank page and add those three headings. Or you can grab my Weekly Reset template from the shop, which has prompts built in. Either way, the goal is to feel lighter, not heavier.
