How to Set Up a Weekly Review in Notion (That You'll Actually Stick To)
A simple, no-stress system to review your week, celebrate wins, and plan ahead — all in one template.
I used to dread weekly reviews. They felt like a chore, and I'd always skip them within two weeks. Then I realized the problem wasn't me — it was the system.
Most weekly review templates ask you to do too much: track 15 metrics, write a gratitude list, plan your meals, and reflect on your life purpose. That's a lot for a Sunday evening. So I built one that takes 10 minutes max.
Here's the structure: a 'wins' section (list 3 things you're proud of), a 'learnings' section (what didn't go as planned), and a 'next week' section (top 3 priorities). That's it. I use a simple database in Notion with a 'Weekly Review' view, and I duplicate the template each week.
The key is to set a recurring reminder on your phone. For me, it's Sunday at 7 PM. I pour a cup of tea, open my review, and spend 10 minutes closing the week. It's become a ritual I actually look forward to.
