How to Set Up a Weekly Review in Notion in Less Than 20 Minutes

A simple, cozy weekly review routine that helps you feel in control without spending your whole Sunday on it.

The weekly review is the one habit that keeps my life from spiraling. But for a long time, I dreaded it — it felt like a chore that took hours. So I created a Notion system that takes under 20 minutes, and it's been a game-changer.

Here's the simple setup: create a page called "Weekly Review" with three sections. First, a checkbox list for "wins" — write down 3 things that went well this week. Second, a list of "big rocks" — the 2-3 tasks that absolutely must happen next week. Third, a space for "notes to self" — anything you want to remember. That's it.

When you review, don't overthink. Just check off your wins, pick your rocks, and jot down any thoughts. The key is to keep it short and positive. You're not judging your productivity; you're just checking in.

If you want to copy my exact template, it's in my library. But even if you build your own, the magic is in the routine. Do it every Sunday morning with your coffee, and watch your week feel clearer.
