How to Build a Weekly Reset Routine in Notion (Without Losing Your Mind)

A simple 30-minute weekly reset can keep your life on track. Here's how to set one up in Notion.

We all know the feeling: Monday morning, staring at your to-do list, wondering where the weekend went. A weekly reset can fix that. It's a short, intentional block of time where you review the past week, plan the next one, and clear your head. And Notion is the perfect place to do it.

Start by creating a new page called 'Weekly Reset'. Add a database for your tasks, with properties like Status, Due Date, and Priority. Then, add a section for 'Wins' and 'Learnings'—it's just as important to celebrate what you did as it is to plan what's next.

Keep it simple. You don't need a complex dashboard. A few checkboxes, a calendar view, and a place for notes are enough. The goal is to make the reset a habit, not a project.

If you want a ready-made system, my Weekly Reset template does this for you—it's included in the library. But even if you build your own, the key is consistency. Pick a time (Sunday evening works for me), set a timer for 30 minutes, and follow your checklist. You'll start each week with clarity and calm.
