How I Use Notion to Plan My Week in 15 Minutes

A simple Sunday ritual that keeps me calm and focused all week—no complicated setup required.

I used to spend hours tweaking my Notion setup instead of actually doing my tasks. Then I realized the problem wasn't Notion—it was that I was trying to build a perfect system instead of a useful one.

Now, every Sunday evening, I set a timer for 15 minutes. I open my Weekly Reset template, dump everything on my mind, and pick three priorities for the week. That's it. The template has a spot for appointments, a running to-do list, and a small reflection box. I don't add new databases or properties. The constraint is the point.

The magic isn't in the planning—it's in closing the laptop after 15 minutes and trusting the system. I check it each morning for five minutes, then move on with my day. If you're overwhelmed by Notion, try shrinking your planning session. A small, consistent ritual beats a perfect setup every time.
