How I Organize My Week in Notion (Without Losing My Mind)

A simple, realistic weekly setup that keeps me on track without turning life into a project management chart.

I used to hate weekly planning. Every Sunday, I'd spend an hour building a to-do list that I'd abandon by Tuesday. Then I realized the problem wasn't me — it was the system. I was overcomplicating it.

Now I use a clean weekly template with just three sections: Priorities, Tasks, and Self-Care. I list three main priorities for the week, not ten. Tasks are small steps that support those priorities. And self-care is a reminder to schedule time for a walk, a bath, or a call with a friend. That's it.

The key is to keep it visual. I use checkboxes and a simple calendar view, but I never add deadlines to every little thing. I only assign due dates to tasks that absolutely need them. This reduces the mental load and makes planning feel less like a chore.

If you're new to Notion, start with a template that's already built for you. Duplicate it, tweak the colors, and make it yours. You don't need to build your system from scratch — just adapt one that works.
