How I Organize My Week in Less Than 30 Minutes

A simple Sunday evening routine using a Notion template that saves me hours of decision fatigue all week.

Sunday evenings used to feel heavy. I'd sit down with a notebook and try to plan the week ahead, but I'd end up with a messy to-do list that I'd ignore by Tuesday. Then I built a weekly template that breaks everything into three sections: priorities, tasks, and self-care. Now it takes me 20 minutes, max.

First, I write down three big priorities for the week — work, home, personal. One each. That's it. Then I dump all the small tasks under the relevant day. The key is to keep it short: no more than five tasks per day. Finally, I add one self-care slot: a walk, a bath, or just 15 minutes with a book. That's the part that makes me actually want to open the template.

The magic is in the simplicity. I don't try to plan every hour. I leave space for the unexpected. And if I miss a day? I just pick up where I left off. No guilt. If you want to try it, my weekly template includes a pre-built Sunday setup view. It's like having a gentle coach who reminds you: you've got this.
