Behind the scenes: how I redesigned the Cozy Life Planner
A look at the feedback, the mistakes, and the small changes that made the biggest difference.
When I released the first version of the Cozy Life Planner, I was proud of it. Then the emails started. People loved the aesthetic but got stuck on the weekly review. They'd open it, feel overwhelmed, and close the tab. That stung — but it was the best feedback I could have gotten.
So I rebuilt the review page from scratch. Instead of twelve prompts, there are three: What worked? What drained me? What's one thing for next week? The rest moved to an optional 'deep dive' section for people who want more.
I also added a quick-start page at the top with a five-minute setup. New users don't need to understand the whole system on day one. They need to feel successful in the first five minutes.
If you already own the planner, check your email — the updated link is there, free as always. If you're new, this version is the one I wish I'd made a year ago. It's softer, faster, and much harder to abandon.
