A Realistic Notion Setup for Busy Women (That You'll Actually Keep Using)

Most Notion setups fail because they're too ambitious. Here's a simpler way to start that sticks.

The first Notion dashboard I ever built had 14 databases, a habit tracker, a mood log, and a reading list. I used it for nine days. Then I went back to sticky notes.

The problem wasn't Notion. It was that I designed for the person I wished I were, not the person I actually am at 7 a.m. with a toddler on my hip. Real life doesn't have time for 14 databases.

So I stripped it down. One page for the week. One page for money. One page for the home. That's it. If a task doesn't fit on those three pages, it probably doesn't belong in my system right now.

Start with one page: your week. Add a simple to-do list, a calendar view, and a spot for notes. Use it for seven days before you add anything else. If you miss a day, no guilt — just open it again tomorrow.

The goal isn't a perfect system. It's a place you return to. Keep it small enough that returning feels easy.
